I'm very proud (and pleased as punch) to announce our first Pirates! tournament at Game Cafe!!! It is called "Battle of the Fleets" and it will be held Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 from noon until ?. This will be a constructed format, meaning that you will bring the best 40 point fleet you can make out of your collection, and do battle against other players! Note, you do NOT have to own any pirates to play in this tournament - you will be allowed to purchase pirates the day of the tournament from Game Cafe and construct your fleet at your table. However, you are encouraged to show up early to do so, as play will get underway at 12:30pm sharp! Prizes to be announced the day of the tournament for 1st and 2nd place as well as a fellowship prize for the player that shows the most fellowship - the player who is most kind and courteous towards the other players and shows the highest level of sportsmanship.
