I beat him down to 10 when he casts So I say okay knowing that I have a http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Brute+Force, http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=lightning+axe and http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Furnace+Of+Rath and the board is clean except for his suspended gargadon with 1 counter left (after sacrificing his land.) Next turn I draw a http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Giant+Growth, play a forest and"http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Birds+of+Paradise and say go.,I growth my birds and he's down to 7. Gargadon comes into play and gets me to 11.

Next turn I draw a MOUNTAIN! I pass the turn and he swings. I block, tap the birds playing Brute Force on the birds, then tap the mountain discard furnace and nuke the Gargadon.

The next turn I draw a forest and play it. We both pass.

I draw http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Uktabi+Drake and it eats an http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Incinerate
The next 2 turns i get http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=lightning+elemental. in the face I'm down to 3...

however...one of those turns I drew an http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=Evolution+Charmand the other another Brute Force.

This turn I draw an incinerate of my own. His turn he draws land, and I incinerate the elemental when he goes to attack.

Then I draw another forest. I evo charm the drake, and Brute Force it.

He draws a http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?name=shock and I'm down to 1.

I swing for the win.

If he would have waited until he got the incinerate on the birds, gargadon would have survived and so would have he, and I would have had 2 turns to get something going.

Furnace of Rath is a great card, and VERY dangerous. Good job at playing your cards right. I love Magic because the games can be so close and the game is full of strategy!
