You can find information on it here
GameKC

Its a league that will span two awesome LGS; Game Cafe and Pulp Fiction. This should make for some fun gaming.

There's a good chance we will extend the offer to west side stores as well, this is still a work in progress.

What are the rules on joining

Postby Ace on Wed Apr 08, 2009 1:30 pm

Hey guys,

I'm not sure when this thing will kick off. If we don't have our 500 pts to start, what are the procedures for joing a league already in progress? Karen is a much more casual player than the rest of us, but both Robert and I would be interested - a little persuasion could convince Karen as well. (I may have to resort to some sort of bribery  ).

Also, I haven't seen any word on entry fees or dues - I know the kits are expensive so I'm assuming there will be some sort of fee. Has anybody heard anything - I've seen nothing on that other board.

The details are still being worked out. The Summer Rampage is still a couple months away, so don't worry too much yet.

In a nutshell, Explosivo and I (The two Press Gangers for the region) plan to offer to the four major stores in the area (Game Cafe and PF have agreed so far)

We (PGers) are going to ask that all participating stores contribute to the prize costs. Grounds for entry into the league is likely going to be determined by the individual stores. We have not worked out how the reporting is going to work yet, but we will have an online ladderboard at gamekansascity.com to show rankings of all players. We are hoping that if a player entered the league at one store, he is welcome to play at any store.

I will meet with Explosivo again this Sunday to discuss further matters.

League play is kind of a mix of casual play and tournament play. You're welcome to play whenever you can get a group together, you can't play the same person twice in a row. There's no time limit or anything but they do tend to provide tricky/fun scenarios, weather rules, and other rules to shake things up a bit. The leagues I participated in at the east side stores were very friendly games.

Thanks for the info. Okay, I'll just have to try and scrape together 500 pts in the next couple of months. I hope to be able to join when you start.
