This is mostly for Tom's benefit.

Anybody looking to play Twilight Imperium should really read over the rules before we get started. I don't know when we will be playing yet, but it will greatly help if those interested do their homework first. It's a big game, but it's a lot of fun.

Now I've heard other people have bought this from the shop, do any of you pop up around here? Definitely need more players for this. Need to arrange for a saturday or sunday game in the future (not this weekend.)

I am a Twilight Imperium fanatic. I really prefer the game with the Shattered Empires expansion; fixes fighters and that pesky Imperial strategy card.

But I'll play the original if others prefer.

The 31st is my first opening. I'll have to see what Tom is upto then.

I'll talk to Julie about it. I'm interested in playing, I just don't always know what our schedule is.

Back from vacation. Tom, let me know what time is good for you.

I would be available on the 31st, and may be able to recruit another player (who is somewhat familiar with the rules).

I should be there Saturday around noon. I'll probably be downstairs trying to paint a few Warmachine minis before game time. We'll play with the standard box until we get a game or two under our belts.

How many folks do we have playing? I could possibly recruit another player, and the game does work best (in my opinion) with 5-6 players.

I'll bring the expansion with me, "just in case". This is gonna be awesome... is it all right to bring soda and snacks? I find bribery to be invaluable!

This is embarrassing, but... I just found out a friend is getting married this Saturday. I will be MIA that day.

The rules at this particular store prohibit outside food and drink. They've got endless-refill fountain drinks though, so it's not too bad.

Maybe we'll play on a future week. I have the expansion too, I just want to keep the first few games simple.

When is the next good time for everyone? I'm free most Saturdays including this upcoming one.

The expansion actually isn't any more complicated, it's more like an alternate ruleset. Still no?

There's nothing wrong with the expansion, it's just if we're going to have people playing for their first time, I'd rather go without it.
