New player today, games went smoothly. The second set of games had to close early due to the store closing. I said that games called on account of time shoul go to victory points. Circlefreak and I were 1 and 1, IF the rampage rules have the rule where killing half a unit gets you one VP. We had to roll off, and he won.

My other match was a slow brutal loss to Khador. Darn.

Ron, I had fun playing you. Although I breathed a HEAVY sigh of relief when that Thunderhead went down, I did NOT underestimate the damage that you could still do. You did not disappoint. I didn't lose anybody, but I had a lot of damage spread around.

My second game was a VERY frustrating outcome.

I enjoyed playing Alex (?). He seems like a very nice guy. I just hate having to roll off for a win/loss. I won by victory points, but we rolled off to determine if we used victory points or who had the most scenario points. Alex won the roll so we went by scenario points. Time was called after my turn so all Alex had to do was keep guys in two uncontested zones and he won by one scenario point.

If I had known during my turn, I could have forced a tie in victory points (I think). Karchev and my Behemoth had the movement to get or block points in two zones. I already had one point so we could have contested three zones to force a one - one scenario point game and I had the only victory points scored.

Oh well, it's a tough situation and no one's fault. I look forward to trying my hand against Alex's team again. That was shaping up to be a neat beatdown.

Yeah, it was a bit of a push to get that second game in there to begin with. But that Nemo fight was really good. I just didn't expect the one-two punch to completely wreck him. Bleh!
